Proposal Party
A Start-to-Finish Book Proposal Experience for Food Creators
When you enter the party, people want to know two things: What did you bring, and when your cookbook is coming out?
And you think: Omg… I don’t even know where I’d start.
You imagine your book on shelves. People cooking your recipes, reading your stories, talking about your work. You imagine walking into that next party and responding with confidence when someone asks, So… what’s next?
Proposal Party is the sparkling, champagne-popping, start-to-finish experience that gets you there. Together, we take your book idea from I don’t even know where to start to a full, submission-ready proposal—structured, celebratory, and ready to impress.
When it’s done, it should feel like: a bottle of Chandon popping open on a 68-degree day in Yountville.
Bubbles in the air. Laughter. Cheers. Bright. Clear. Worth celebrating.
Pull up a chair. The party’s getting started. 🥂🎉
You love cooking. You love writing. You’ve got stories to tell. But the book proposal? That’s a whole different recipe.
Maybe you’ve tried courses, workshops, or free templates, but they leave you scattered and unsure.
Maybe your ideas are great, but your pitch doesn’t quite pop.
Maybe people keep asking about your book and you want to answer with confidence instead of panic.
Proposal Party isn’t just about finishing something. It’s about creating a proposal that sells your book idea, showcases your unique voice, and is ready for agents and publishers to dig into—and love.
Why You Need Proposal Party
Who Proposal Party Is For
This experience is for you if you:
Constantly get people asking about your book—and you want to answer with confidence
Have recipes, stories, or ideas that are begging to become a book
Care deeply about voice, taste, and leaving a long-term mark
Want someone to collaborate with you, not just comment on the work
Do your best work when someone else is holding the structure
Are ready to commit, show up, and finally finish the proposal
Want developmental guidance throughout—not just copy edits—so your proposal is ready for agents and publishers to tear into it like a pinata (and love every second!)
This is not for you if you want a template, a rush job, or someone to write the proposal for you.
“I was afraid of investing in something that I felt (in the beginning, when I had no idea how much work actually went into it) I could do myself. Also, I thought “maybe I can do this faster on my own”.
A first proposal is difficult to navigate, and it’s so easy to get lost or off track. Amanda paved a path for me and helped shape and create clarity in my story, thoughts, and ideas in a way that I don’t think I could have done alone.
Amanda really got to know me; she understood my story, my personality, and what is meaningful to me. She always made me feel supported, validated, empowered, cared for.”
Step up your proposal with Stephanie Moon, book marketing expert:

Your proposal doesn’t just read beautifully—it’s strategically ready to launch.

Great question! I can’t guarantee any specific outcome from us working together. Yes, there are insights and connections I have from doing this work, but every project is unique.
Plus, the industry is constantly changing, and that includes when agents and editors are looking for.
We’ll work together to craft a story only you can tell, target your ideal agent or publisher, and what happens from there is up to you and little bit of fate.
