The Wanderlust Episode

“You only are free when you realize you belong no place — you belong every place — no place at all.”.png

I'm slowing it down this week as I work my way through the endless exploration of place and oneself, how I constantly exist everywhere I've been and why it's important to find discovery even when our feet are planted.

I've always been one for movement and change---believing that out there-somewhere-is my perfect place, person, dream. Through years of travel and moving, the thing that has scared me the most is staying in one place. It's easy to leave and convince yourself that there is better out there---that you have to always be searching for the things that set your soul on fire. But as I'm stepping into a new phase of my life, I find myself wondering if the wandering is keeping me away from the things I really want. Maybe, it's time to stay.

The Boundaries Episode

You teach people how to treat you..png

This week, I'm breaking down the importance of defining barriers, what we can learn from the boundaries we create for children, and the value of standing up for yourself even when it would be easier to stand down.

I would say the hardest thing for most adults is to create boundaries in relationships---personal, professional or otherwise. In a world that wants us to say yes to every person and situation, we forget that no isn't always a bad thing. And this is an instance where I revisit the idea that saying no to someone else means saying yes to yourself.

The Chudney Ross Episode

If it's not working, make changes or let go.-2.png

Business owner, author and mom, Chudney Ross joins the show to talk about leading her life with her heart, the power and strength that comes with being open to change, and the legacy she hopes to leave.

After working for Chudney at her flagship location for Books and Cookies, she was one of the first people who I knew I wanted to have on the show. Her willingness to pivot quickly in business and also understanding that you can't do it all, are inspirations for anyone trying to deal with the reality of dreams.

Babe Cave Episode #5..png

Join me as I share how a single motto shaped more than a year's view, about owning your place in your story and what it means to be the one in your own life.

There are so many reasons to love your story and to focus on how you're the only one for something great. Often times, we focus on others and their accomplishments, but the only competition we should see is ourselves..

The Crystal Marie McDaniels Episode

Writer, storyteller and co-creator of CMSki Vlog, Crystal Marie McDaniels swings by the show to talk about how moving around the country has influenced her writing, the best marriage advice she's ever gotten, and the power of a supportive community.

From high school to reconnecting in Los Angeles, Crystal and I have been fortunate enough to champion one another in our wildest pursuits. It's not hard to love Crystal as her dryness and intelligence have me giggling and in awe all at the same time.

The Sasha A. Ali Episode

Sasha A. Ali Episode.png

Actress, comedian and all-around badass Sasha A. Ali stops by to chat about growing up a first generation American in the heartland, saving strangers in the Grand Canyon and what it means to live her dreams.

There are few others who can make my heart explode with laughter like Sasha. From meeting in the halls of The Second City Hollywood to being friends bonded for life, we love to cheer each other one, and I couldn't think of anyone else who would better represent what Babe Cave is all about.
