Coming off of The Around World Episode, living life to the fullest is at top of mind.
How many times have you said that you’d love to do x, y and z, but you never actually take the steps to do it?
If you’re like me, probably plenty.
And even though I could say, “Snap out of it! You only have one life!”, I’ll let Bronnie Ware, author of Top 5 Regrets of the Dying, say it for me.
Bronnie was a hospice nurse who compiled the top regrets that her patients shared, and how you can avoid their mistakes:
I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.
I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
I wish that I had let myself be happier.
It’s easy to say, “I’ll get to that one day.”
But what happens, when you’re finally on the hospital bed, with nowhere to go, and “one day” isn’t an option anymore?
Seize the day now, while you still have a chance.
